Regina finally relaxed as Snow embraced her and she embraced her back. “I’m so sorry, Snow,” she repeated, her body convulsing as the tears streamed down her face. “I never should have blamed you. You were so young. And, now you have Miss Sw- Emma to look after. Please, learn from my mistakes.”

Trying to reign in her tears Snow choked out a sob as she nodded. “You were hurting… you thought by denying me what I denied you that it would make up for what you lost…” She drew in a breath before a shudder went through her. “Oh don’t worry about Emma and I. Our time in the Enchanted Forest helped us work through it all. She understands… I’ll try to make her understand you are still working toward redeeming yourself.”

Regina held Snow close, finally relaxing. She took a deep breath and broke away from the hug. As she pulled away, she first wiped her own tears and then smiled, wiping away Snow’s. “Thank you, dear. I’m not just going to try harder for Henry now. I’m going to try harder for you too. We’re family. And, I’m truly sorry I’ve forgotten over the years. I- I love you, Snow.”
