There was music here. The world’s own sense of it — ebbing and flowing in the air, calling to him. Reid was just glad to see, to be able to feel it. The Man twisted, swaying to an imaginary beat as he quietly did his own little dance. “You now as well as me that I can´t get to sleep at night, cause every dream I have just seems to be of you. Night after night, I wait for you…” He hummed to himself, pulling off a quick spin before he clapped his hands in a quick succession. “To come and be with me; now take my hand and follow me under the moon. It´s only one small step away…” The Man stopped though when he heard someone coming. He flashed a small smile, “What’s swingin’?”
Regina was out on her usual late night stroll, taking in the town she had once revelled in when she first casted the curse, but now took for granted. The air was different now. The curse had broken and the illusion shattered. She didn’t hold the same sort of power. And, she certainly looked at the town differently. It was her home, but at the same time; it wasn’t. It was the remains of a time long ago, of her supposed happy ending.
She could smell the damp air from the rain of the day and the slight smell of oak from the trees in the park. They called to her and she decided to take a detour from her usual route through the park. She sauntered about, looking up at the looming trees when she heard humming off in the distance. No. Not just humming. Dancing. This man was humming and dancing to his own little tune and Regina wasn’t quite sure what she thought of it all. At first, she scoffed, rolling her eyes as she took a step toward him. But, as he heard her approaching, she composed herself and sauntered toward him with a sickeningly polite grin. “My. What a lovely tune, my dear?” she almost cooed, tilting her head slightly toward the stranger. “But, tell me, what brings you out at this time?”
